Concept ProjectUrban Haven Townhouses - Living & Dining Interior Design
This residential living and dining space was conceived as a continuous interior environment that prioritizes spatial flow, material coherence, and visual hierarchy. Rather than defining the program through physical partitions, the proposal organizes the layout through controlled transitions, framing elements, and integrated joinery systems.
Warm walnut cladding establishes a consistent architectural datum across the primary volumes, creating visual stability and anchoring the open-plan configuration. This is contrasted by vertically articulated deep-blue paneling within the dining and library zone, introducing rhythm and spatial identity while accommodating integrated shelving and concealed lighting.
Lighting was approached as an embedded spatial component rather than a surface-level addition. Recessed ceiling profiles, perimeter LED channels, and illuminated joinery elements work collectively to define depth, emphasize material junctions, and support the overall ambient strategy of the interior.
The entrance sequence is defined by a curved timber portal that subtly compresses movement before releasing into the main living volume, establishing a moment of transition that enhances spatial perception. Custom wall-mounted storage, recessed skirting, and floating furniture elements were developed as part of a unified material system to ensure continuity across functional and circulation zones.
The resulting environment accommodates both formal reception and informal daily use within a single cohesive framework, balancing architectural restraint with material warmth.
