Concept ProjectUrban Haven Townhouses - Entrance Interior Design
This residential entrance was designed as a transitional compression space that enhances the arrival experience while maintaining spatial clarity and functional efficiency.
The proposal is defined by a curved oak timber portal that frames the entry sequence and establishes a clear visual hierarchy upon arrival. A deep blue vertical panel backdrop introduces contrast within an otherwise neutral material palette, complementing the limestone flooring and soft plaster wall finishes to create a balanced composition of warmth and depth.
Integrated wall-mounted joinery and a floating console unit are resolved within a continuous panel system, allowing storage elements to remain visually unobtrusive. A recessed backlit mirror and concealed linear lighting are embedded directly into the architectural envelope, ensuring that illumination supports both usability and atmospheric quality without introducing additional visual clutter.
Floor-integrated uplighting beneath indoor planting further enhances material depth by casting soft vertical shadows across adjacent surfaces, contributing to a layered lighting strategy that reinforces the spatial identity of the entrance during evening conditions.
Through the coordination of material transitions, negative detailing, and concealed lighting, the design aims to transform the entrance from a purely functional threshold into a cohesive architectural moment that is both practical to construct and refined in experience.
